SHS Scholarship Fund
The Scarsdale High School PTA Scholarship Fund for College provides one-year grants to seniors who need help paying for their first year of college. Last year, it provided $85,000 in grants to 12 students for their freshman year of college. The Fund has been providing these grants for more than sixty years. All of the scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of financial need. The continuing economic crisis, along with the enormous cost of college, has posed a serious financial challenge to many families this year.
We want to make sure that we reach out to as many seniors as possible so that they are aware of the Scholarship Fund. (See Scholarship Fund Facts) The application process is completely confidential. Our hope is that the Scholarship Fund is able to make going to college a reality for many of our students.
